Frequently asked questions
Do I need a MoneyWords account?
No. MoneyWords has no separate app account. An iCloud account is needed only if you choose to back up and restore your settings and available learning records.
How do I manage or cancel Premium?
Open iOS Settings, tap your Apple Account, choose Subscriptions, and select MoneyWords. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
How do I restore a purchase?
Choose “Restore purchases” on the MoneyWords purchase screen. Make sure the device is signed in to the Apple Account that originally purchased the subscription.
The price is not loading. What should I do?
Confirm that the App Store is reachable, then use “Retry loading price.” If it still does not load, restart the app and contact support with the exact message shown.
How does private iCloud backup work?
In MoneyWords, open Settings → iCloud backup. You can back up manually or opt in to automatic backup. The backup is stored in the private CloudKit database for the iCloud account on your device.
How do I delete an iCloud backup?
Open Settings → iCloud backup → Delete iCloud backup. This deletes the remote MoneyWords backup; it does not erase local learning information on the device.
How do I change reminder permission?
Open iOS Settings → Notifications → MoneyWords. Reminder notifications are created locally on your device.
Why does MoneyWords request Photos access?
Add-only Photos permission is requested only when you ask to save a generated term card. MoneyWords does not upload or browse your photo library.
Is MoneyWords financial advice?
No. MoneyWords is an educational glossary and practice app. Consult an appropriately qualified professional and authoritative sources for decisions.
